Earlier this year in our Summer Newsletter our case study was Emily Fripp, a patient who had Implantable Contact Lens treatment (ICL) with AVC.
The prescription in her right eye was -8.50 / -0.50 and her left eye was -9.75 / -0.50 and, consequently, she was unsuitable for laser treatment. She wanted treatment so that she could achieve her dreams and compete in the Clipper Round the World Race. She and her team started on the 30th August 2015 and they are now over halfway through the arduous competition.
The Clipper Round the World Race is a prestigious sailing challenge, spanning across 20,000 nautical miles whilst competing against other boats. Emily and the rest of the Danang team are currently nearing the end of their third race out of five (click to track their progress), and aim to compete for the challenge by January 2015.
We want to wish her and the team all the best of luck and support all the way through to the end.
