We offer alternatives for those unsuitable for Laser Surgery
If you have been turned down for treatment elsewhere we would love to see you. AVC has the expertise, technology and experience to carry out a number of successful alternative procedures, meaning that those found to be unsuitable for Laser correction can still be treated. AVC is the country's leader in Implantable Contact Lenses (ICL) and Clear Lens Exchange (CLE) with multifocal implants treatments - revolutionary alternatives for those who are not suitable for Laser treatment. We give you a comprehensive assessment
Our two-hour long assessment may seem daunting and longer than other clinics but we believe it is extremely important in achieving a successful outcome. We never rush this examination, as it is also an opportunity for you to ask questions and understand your surgery fully. This thorough consultation involves extensive diagnostic examination to produce 3D maps of your corneas (the front surface of your eyes) and measure aberrations (imperfections in your vision unrelated to prescription alone). A Laser-trained Optometrist will carry out a meticulous refraction (prescription assessment) as well as health checks, and measurement of parameters such as corneal thickness, pupil size, and retinal health. Finally, you will have a discussion with a surgeon who will explain your bespoke treatment plan.
We offer Nationwide Clinical Care
AVC is the only clinic in the UK to have a dedicated, highly trained and experienced nationwide network of Independent Optometrist partners who are able to carry out your aftercare should it be more convenient. These Optometrists are individually selected, and undergo intensive, continued training at Harley Street.
