IntraLase

IntraLase is one of the most advanced laser eye surgery procedures available on the market today. Traditionally, the corneal flap has been created using the XP microkeratome, which is a highly sophisticated miniature blade. Although this method is occasionally used with excellent results at AVC, advances in technology have allowed this initial process to be completely blade-free. Instead, the flap is cut with a laser. This makes the corneal flap more precise and predictable and creates thinner, stronger corneal flaps which heal faster compared with the microkeratome.
